WS:01 Borders Malt & Rye Whisky

Some say there’s nothing new in Scotch whisky. We say, think again! Our WS:01 Borders Malt & Rye became the first Scotch whisky to leave the Scottish Borders since 1837 when it was released in 2022. We distilled a small batch of rye spirit and matured it in the same fresh-fill bourbon casks as the malt whisky before marrying them together to create an aromatic blended whisky.

On the nose, you’ll find soft spice and toasted wood. On the palate, baked fruit and buttery shortcrust pastry, before a lovely warm custardy finish.

WS:02 The Long & Short of It Whisky

WS:02 The Long & Short of It was born from our distillers’ experimentation in fermentation. Why experiment in fermentation, you might ask? Well, fermentation plays a huge part in the outcome of flavour. So, our distillers set to work experimenting with very short fermentation times of 55 hours and very long ones of 150 hours to produce a whisky with an intriguing blend of the two, long and short. Both batches were then distilled and matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, before being married together with single grain.

On the palate, the short fermentation reveals fresh bursts of gooseberry skin, citrus zest, and green apple which plays perfectly with the notes of fig pudding, butterscotch, and sultanas from the long fermentation.

ABV 40%

Clan Fraser Reserve Whisky

Clan Fraser Reserve Whisky is a distinctive blend of Scotland’s finest single malt and grain whiskies. Clan Fraser is a Scottish Borders clan that originated in France before settling in the Scottish Borders, and then eventually every corner of the world. Representing the rich heritage of the Fraser clan tradition and the welcoming spirit of Scottish Borders hospitality, this blended whisky offers a subtle sweetness, a delectable velvet smooth texture, and a comforting warmth.

You’ll find hints of butter and honey on the nose, enriched by the fruity undertones of raisin and fig on the palate, all wrapped up in hints of spice.

Lower East Side Whisky

Whether in the trendy bars of Lower East Side Manhattan, or at home in Scotland, our Lower East Side Whisky is a Scottish creation that mixes effortlessly wherever it finds itself, be it served straight, on the rocks, or in a Manhattan! Bold yet balanced, it’s a perfect easy-drinking Scotch whisky for cocktails and is specially crafted from a blend of single malt whiskies from various regions across Scotland.

You’ll find notes of vanilla and oak on the nose, almond and orchard fruit on the palate, with just a hint of banana and subtle smoke on the finish.

The Borders Distillery Tours

Currently included with every purchase of a 70cl bottle of whisky, our award-winning tours have just opened for the summer season and are not-to-be-missed.

On the Borders Distillery tours, our expert distillers will lead you through the production process and reveal what we do to give our spirits their unique quality and taste. You’ll get to see the production process in action, including mashing, fermentation, and distillation – where you’ll learn why our four copper pot stills are named George, Tony, Tim, and John.

At the end of the tour, there’s a chance to sample two of our spirits in the distillery bar, as well as take your Glencairn glass home with you. The drivers among your party are always accommodated, so we’ll provide two samples for them to take away.
